CVUSD Students Meet Award winning Author!

Happy New Year! The awesome and great opportunities for student learning continues in 2015! The Board and I want to thank the Dean Jandt, the Northern Trust and the Desert Literacy Society for allowing Mrs. Schwartz and Dr. Boffa's CVHS and DMHS students to meet and talk with Author Hector Tobar! Mr. Tobar's book "The Untold Stories of 33 Men Buried in a Chilean Mine, and the Miracle That Set Them Free has been made into a movie to be released in late 2015 or early 2016 starting Antonio Banderas and Lou Diamond Philips!  Read more about CVUSD Students Meet Award winning Author!

We are delighted to have sworn in two new Board members last night, Joey Acuña Jr and Blanca T. Hall. Mr. Acuña has served in the past and Mrs. Hall is new to board governance but both are serving for the right reasons and that is to continue our mission, vision and goal of preparing our students for College, Career and Citizenship!
